March 2018 Recap

SHRC in the Old SHES Gym

As some of you may have noticed, we have been given temporary access to program out of the old Spring Hill Elementary School gymnasium and we are doing all that we can in the short time we have it to live up to the communities expectations! While we have enjoyed having this space, it was always only temporary.

Due to the lack of air conditioning, we are not able to program out of there during the summer months and so all of our programs will come to an end on Sunday, April 15th.

We thank you for coming and enjoying the new programs we were able to temporarily offer!

Youth Basketball

Our 2018 basketball season will be wrapping up this week! It has been another successful season and we thank you all for your participation! Stay tuned for information about the 2019 season towards the end of the year!

Youth Soccer

Soccer practice is in full swing! As always with the spring season, we are battling the weather for practice availability - we are right with your guys, we want nice weather too!

Baseball/Softball

Teams are going out this week for all teams for 7 years old and up. Registration is still open for Coach Pitch (5/6 years old), T-Ball (4 years old), and Blastball (3 years old). To sign up, check out our website at: www.springhillrec.org

Spring Break 2018

This year we were able to offer a whole week's worth of activities for Spring Break! Open gym was offered from 11a-5p everyday, with a different activity combined with it. Monday we offered dodgeball, Tuesday was crafts, Wednesday was yard games, Thursday was science experiments, and we wrapped up with kickball on Friday! We had a fantastic turnout and lots of fun with everyone that showed up! Below are some pictures from the week

Easter Egg Hunt

Even though it was a little chilly, we had a great turnout for our Easter Egg Hunt this year! Our staff put out 7,000 eggs across the four fields at our complex. We split the younger group up onto two fields, so our age groups were: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10+.

No one wanted to be standing out there too early, but as soon as the clock hit 10:00am the parking lot filled up and people started streaming in! By 10:15am everyone was in position and ready for the air horn. All four fields went at the same time to keep the event simple, quick, and to help get everyone out of the cold!

After all the eggs were collected, the kids opened all their eggs to see if they had a gold or silver ticket inside any of them. If they did, they got to come up to the prize tables and pick out a prize to take home! All in all, our 2018 Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success!
